Police arrest two men connected to a 2012 double murder

Springfield - Police have arrested two men in connection with a double murder, on December 31,2012.

 

The Sangamon County State's attorney John Milhiser announced Jermaine Davis and Sancho Mitchell have been arrested for first degree murder and armed robber, of the double murder at 924 North 9th Street, in Springfield.

 

On New Year's Eve 24-year-old Andrea Pocklington and 24-year-old Larry Grice were found dead inside their apartment. Pocklington was seven months pregnant at the time of death, she was also a mother of three. Police found both Pocklington and Grice inside the apartment when they arrived to the scene shortly after 3 p.m.

 

According to the autopsy results Grice suffered two gunshot wounds, Pocklington was shot and also suffered multiple stab wounds.

 

The case is still under investigation and additional charges could be filed. No other information has been released at this time.
