Blood donations hit all time low


Springfield - Blood donation have hit the lowest level in years.


The Central Illinois Community Blood Center, says its supply for Springfield area hospitals is at its lowest level in years. They say the bad weather for this winter is to blame.


The Manager of Donor Relations says, snow, ice, and bitter temperatures kept people away from donations drives. Donors brought in 600 fewer units of blood than usual for this time of year.
