Jury trial set for one of two teens accused in Galloway Park shooting
Decatur - Two teens accused of killing a man in Galloway Park, were back in court this Tuesday.
The jury trial is set for Bryson Harden,16, for June 9th. Patrick Hutton, 17, will be back in court in mid June. The two teens are being tried separately.
Hutton and Harden are accused of murdering Jarvas Thomas, 21, during a marijuana sale.
A witness told police Hutton and Harden met Thomas at Galloway Park, on December 10 to buy an ounce of marijuana.
Police say when Thomas handed over the drugs, Harden allegedly shot Thomas. Hutton claimed he did not know Harden was going to shot Thomas. Hutton was arrested shortly after the shooting. Harden was arrested a few days later after a stand off with police on East Main Street, in Decatur.
