Village Mayor of Kincaid arrested for a second time

Kincaid - The Kincaid Village Mayor is in trouble once again.

Illinois State Police arrested Douglas Thomas, 48, for violation of order of protection. He was arrested this Thursday shortly before 11 a.m.

Police say, Thomas violated the order by contacting a protected person on March 1, in Christian County. Thomas was also arrested back in February for violating an order of protection and possession of a controlled substance.

The Chief of Police for the Village of Kincaid was also arrested for official misconduct. State Police say, 45-year-old Richard Adams was using his position to have repairs done on his home by village employees on village time.

Thomas is currently being held in the Christian County Jail.
