Springfield - It's been one week since family and friends honored the life of long-time weathercaster and Central Illinois icon.

Yesterday Congressman Rodney David honored Bob Murray's legacy on the floor of the US House of Representatives. Davis thanked Murray for his voice in Central Illinois homes "'So thank you Bob Murray, for the years of service, you provided to the families in Central Illinois, and thank you to Bob's family, for sharing him with us for more than 40 years, and allowing him to become a part of our family."

Murray passed away on February 26th, after a battle with brain cancer. He was 66-years-old.
