Police make an arrest after a weekend bar fight turned deadly
Danville - Police have arrested a man on an arrest warrant in Indianapolis, for the weekend bar fight that lead to the murder of a 25-year-old male.
Police arrested De Juan Alexander, 30, by the violent crimes unit of Indianapolis, on Monday.
Police in Danville were called to break up a fight inside a bar located in the 600 block of North Vermillion at approximately 1:30 AM on Sunday.
Police said, they were trying to break up the fight when they were told shots had been fired outside. They then discovered two men had been shot.
Both men were transported to Presence United Samaritans Hospital in Danville. One of the victims, Demaree D. Tetter, 25, of Danville, was pronounced dead at 2:06 AM. The other, a 35-year-old, was treated for non life-threatening wounds.
