The competition provided a great learning experience for all students involved, and gave students a chance to see how their skills compared to other students in the area.
The students were given several raw pieces of metal and a blue print. They were asked to produce the project from the blue print using their skills in Arc, MIG, and TIG welding.
Students in Division B were also required to take a written exam to demonstrate their knowledge on basic terminology and blueprint reading. The winners were determined by their competency in written exam, project assembly and accuracy, and overall quality of their welds.
