SIU medical students offer free health clinic for uninsured
Springfield - A free community health clinic for homeless and uninsured individuals is this Monday evening.
The clinic will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, at Kumler United Methodist Church, 600 N. Fifth St., Springfield. It is organized by medical students and the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
Students will perform general physical check-ups and several different screenings including, cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and others at no charge. Hygiene products and over-the-counter medications also will be offered at no charge. Vouchers for dental exams will be offered by Sangamon County Community Resources.
