Attorney's hope charges will be dropped for former Illini football player
Urbana - A former Illini football player and employee was back in court on Monday.
Matthew Sinclair was arrested in November, after a driver saw him point a gun at another car on Interstate 74 in Urbana. Attorneys argued that Sinclair's charges should be dropped, because they violate his second amendment rights.
They say Sinclair is protected under the state's concealed carry law. Football coach Tim Beckman announced Sinclair's resignation in February.
Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted people of other religions. More>>
