Forsyth - A ribbon cutting for a new business is taking place this Thursday at 5 p.m., for the Colee's Corner Drug Store.
The new store is in Forsyth, at 845 South U.S. 51. Half of the store is a pharmacy and the other half is dedicated to unique gift items.
Dale and Rita Colee opened Dale's Southlake Pharmacy in September 2004 to address the need for a locally-owned pharmacy in the South Shores area of Decatur. Their daughter, Lauren, joined the staff in July 2009 and Erica Colee, Pharmd., joined in May 2011. Together, the family saw a need for a pharmacy in the north end of Decatur and Forsyth, so they opened their second location, Colee's corner drugs.
Colee's Corner drug will hold an open house starting on Thursday from 5-9, again on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
