JACKSONVILLE-A Central Illinois charity that helps feed and clothe babies is appealing to the community for help.
"HELPS" is a ministry in Jacksonville that helps moms get diapers, baby formula, clothes, furniture, and whatever else they may need.
This year they've helped nearly 1,000, up from last year, when they only assisted 750.
Kathleen Finkle is the executive director and says they're running out of their supply of diapers and desperately need more.
"It's really a community responsibility," Finkle says. "When we have people in the community who need help, I think the community needs to get together and help."
Donations of diapers, wipes, furniture, and formula can be dropped off at Helps Ministry Outreach at 238 West State Street in Jacksonville. Their number to call is 217-245-7559. They also receive cash and check donations
