Man Arrested for Murder in Charleston

CHARLESTON - Charleston Police say Larry Steeples, 52, has been arrested and charged for the murder of Gina Giberson.

Police say Giberson was fatal shot on Monday morning at her home on the north side of Charleston. An autopsy revealed that she died from multiple gun shot wounds. Giberson was 47-years-old.

The arrest of Steeples resulted from an investigation by Charleston Police Department with the assistance of the State's Attorney's office. Police say domestic violence was involved.

According to the Coles County Court records, Gina Giberson had an order of protection against Larry Steeples at the time of her death.

Bond has been set at $5,000,000. The investigation is continuing and more information will be released once it becomes available.
