Four Charged in Connection with Methamphetamine Investigation


EFFINGHAM - Four people have been charged in connection with an ongoing methamphetamine investigation.

Those arraigned Monday include:

Cody Laue, 20, of Beecher City; Tara Devoe, 18, of Shumway; Stacey Beccue, 38, of Altamont; and Nathaniel Sparks, 23, of Beecher City.

The arrests followed the seizure of materials from a residence at 3803 E 200th Avenue in rural Shumway.

"These arrests were the direct result of diligent preliminary work and the execution of a search warrant by Effingham County Sheriff's Deputies," said Effingham State's Attorney Bryan M. Kibler.

Laue and Devoe are charged with Aggravated Participation in Methamphetamine Manufacturing. Bail is set at $200,000 each.

Beccue and Sparks are charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Judge Kimberly Koester set bail for Beccue and Sparks at $25,000 each.
