Decatur woman charged in Madison County kidnapping and robbery incident

Edwardsville - A woman from Decatur is charged, after kidnapping and robbing a Southern Illinois University student.

 

Shantel Rogers, 20, and another man from Chicago were charged last week, in connection with an April 2 alleged kidnapping. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the kidnappers forced the victim into a car and drove him to an ATM to withdraw money.

 

The victim was not hurt.

 

The victim told SIUE police that he knew at least one of the kidnappers.  Rogers is being held on  $250,000 bond at the Madison County Jail.
