Bloomington man to serve 10 years for placing pipe bomb in a Decatur mailbox

A Bloomington man will spend 10 years behind bars for placing a pipe bomb in a Decatur mailbox in 2011.

 

In 2013 Lloyd B. Lockwood,47, was convicted of placing the bomb inside a mailbox, on March 31,2011. He was released on bond with special conditions, but in January of 2013 he violated an order of protection filed against him.  

 

On Thursday, U.S. Attorney Jim Lewis, Central District of Illinois announced, that Lockwood would serve the maximum sentence of 10 years.
