St. Mary's to Host Free Diabetes 101 Meal Sessions
(DECATUR, Ill.)-When a person receives a diabetes diagnosis, long-term wellness depends on more than just medical care. It takes information and education to have a healthy, satisfying life with surprisingly few restrictions.
To benefit the community and assist the public with management of diabetes, St. Mary's dietitians extend an invitation to persons diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes for a meal, which will include meal planning information and education.
Sessions are free and open to the public, and each program takes place in the St. Mary's Hospital Assisi Room, 1800 E. Lake Shore Dr., Decatur, IL. Persons interested can choose from one of the following dates and times:
- Breakfast with a Dietitian, Wednesday, April 23 at 8:00 a.m.
- Lunch with a Dietitian, Wednesday, May 21 at noon
- Dinner with a Dietitian, Wednesday, June 25 at 5:00 p.m.
