FORSYTH - A Forsyth eighth-grader will participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee for a fourth time May 28 and May 29, with hopes of success there and beyond. Yasir Hasnain is already thinking towards his future, as he aspires to become a neurologist. The focus that he is applying to spelling is helping with other endeavors, such as playing saxophone and piano.
Hasnain says he's bearing down in an attempt to make the semi-finals of the spelling bee. All the study for this goal did provide Hasnain with a new favorite word; eisteddfod. It's a Welsh word for a competitive arts festival.
