Springfield Police leadership positions reorganized
SPRINGFIELD - The police chief in Springfield has promoted four lieutenants as part of a restructuring plan. Chief Kenny Winslow promoted two lieutenants to the rank of deputy chief, and the other two were promoted to the rank of commander.
The reorganization will eliminate the professional standards division and have internal affairs report to him directly.
Lt. Dyle Stokes was promoted to deputy chief of administrative services, and will replace current Deputy Chief Bob Markovic. Lt. Dan Mounce has been named deputy chief of the criminal investigations division, a position that has been open since January.
Lt. Ken Scarlette was named commander of the administrative services division, and Lt. Shawn Handlin was named commander of the criminal investigations division.
