Northern Illinois manufacturer agrees to stay in state after receiving tax breaks
ROSCOE - A northern Illinois manufacturer that considered moving to Wisconsin will instead relocate to a different Illinois town after the state agreed to $1.7 million in subsidies.
All World Machinery Supply Inc. will move 20 miles from Harvard to Roscoe after the state agreed to package of cash and tax breaks to improve infrastructure.
The company builds parts for machines, and employs 72 people.
David Koepp, president of All World Machinery, said he hopes to have 150 to 175 employees within five years. Koepp also said the state of Wisconsin made "a very strong offer" if the company relocated across the state line.
Local governments also agreed to tax abatements for the company.
