ROCKFORD - A man suspected in two homicides in Illinois and was arrested after a high-speed chase appeared to be injured during a court appearance on Monday. Terence Doddy, 36, used a wheelchair and had black eyes when he appeared in court. No details of his injuries were available.
Police say Doddy was arrested July 4 after the car he was driving crashed into a tree near Beloit, Wisconsin. He is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and has not entered a plea.
According to Illinois State Police, Doddy is a suspect in the late-June killing of Todd Hansmeier, 37, and the July 1 death of Tonya Bargman, 44. Illinois authorities plan to extradite Doddy.
