PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - Ameren Illinois is turning off the power for part of downtown Peoria to fix a utility line.
The (Peoria) Journal Star (http://bit.ly/TXBGzv) reports Ameren says shutting down the power over the weekend is part of the company's a project to make $7 million in infrastructure upgrades to improve its delivery system in the Peoria area.
Tenants of buildings in the downtown area say the outage will last from 4:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. Sunday and will include City Hall.
