USDA says Illinois' soybean and corn crops in good shape
ST. LOUIS - According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Illinois' soybeans and corn crops are in good shape.
In its weekly crop-status update, the USDA says that 81 percent of Illinois' corn crop is in good or excellent condition. The soybean crop is also fairing well, with 75 percent of the crop being rated as good or excellent condition.
Approximately 90 percent of the wheat crop in Illinois has been harvested, a pace that's in line with the previous five years.
