This Week In Chic: If I wasn't so swamped.....Posted:
I'm so busy. No, like seriously, I'm super busy. I have been struggling to keep up with my WAND blog more than usual, because I have been trying so hard to stay on top of everything, but I have been failing miserably! LOL! I will say this though, I missed you guys and am trying really hard to keep this puppy up to date! If you come here and don't see anything one week, find me on Facebook at Facebook.com/thisweekinchic. I update that page daily! I also have a Pinterest bulletin on the WAND 17 page.
If you were able to catch this morning's segment, you would've learned that grunge is back.....ugh. Lots of the stuff coming back are very retro 90s. It's funny, I see these young kids wearing things that I was wearing when I was in elementary school and I fight the urge to tell them that I used to wear the same things because I don't want to...you know...show my age. Lol! Anyway, I remember back in the day when the 60s made a return and just recently the entire British invasion that took over fashion during the 2012 Summer Olympics! I feel some kind of way about the "look like you don't care about the way you look when you do" look. One thing's for sure, I won't be following that fashion trend at all...unless I'm shopping at Wal-Mart or doing yard work.
Next thing that I have been challenged to talk to you all about today is the Blue Jeans Go Green drive! Rue 21 in Hickory Point Mall will be accepting jeans donations from July 28th to August 31st! They'll take jeans pants, jumpers, jackets, whatever! Cool fact, they make insulation for HOUSES with it! Watch the video if you don't believe me. :-) For more information on the jeans drive visit this site: Blue Jeans Go Green.
Now on to my look of the day. My dress that I wore in today's segment is from Gwynnie Bee, and pictures are coming shortly, but I wanted to upload something anyway for your viewing pleasure! You're welcome! ;-)
