Salvation Army to Open Decatur Thrift Shop

DECATUR- The Salvation Army will be getting a new thrift store.  They haven't said where the new thrift store will be yet, but they are starting to take donations to fill it.  Clothing, shoes, and house wares is what they're looking for. Anything in good condition they can re-sell
You can drop those things off at the Brettwood Village Kroger parking lot from 10 am -to 2 p-m for the next three months starting Saturday.
Dave MacDonna with the Salvation Army says all profits from the thrift store support the adult re-hab center for men in Springfield.
"Anyone who is suffering through the addictions of alcohol or drug abuse can go there, receive counseling, work therapy," MacDonna says.  "We will house you, we will feed you at no charge."
You can still drop off other donations at the Salvation Army's center in Decatur, but donations in this parking lot will go toward the new thrift shop.
