Dairy Queen celebrates 30-year partnership with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

MINNEAPOLIS - For the past 30 years Dairy Queen restaurants have helped to raise more than $100 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and to celebrate this partnership, Dairy Queen is announcing its Ninth Annual Miracle Treat Day.

The event is scheduled for August 14 at participating Dairy Queen locations.  On Miracle Treat Day, $1 or more from every Blizzard Treat sold will be donated to CMN Hospitals.  Those donations help save and improve the lives of kids treated at 170 children's hospitals in the U.S. and Canada.  In addition, for every person who RSVP's to Miracle Treat Day on Facebook, American Dairy Queen Corporation will donate an additional $1 to CMN Hospitals, capping at $50,000.

A national goodwill ambassador for CMN Hospitals, Miss America 2014 Nina Davuluri, will serve as this year's honorary spokesperson for DQ Miracle Treat Day.  Miss America titleholders have been involved with CMN Hospitals by helping with fundraising activities and visiting member hospitals since 1989.

Although all Blizzard Treat flavors will be available, the featured Miracle Treat Day "Blizzard of the Day" will be the ever-popular Oreo Blizzard.
