University of Illinois planning to open office in India next summer
URBANA - In an attempt to handle the University of Illinois' partnerships with institutions and companies in India, the school is planning to open an office in India by the end of next summer.
Pradeep Khanna, the university's associate chancellor for corporate and international relations, says that the University of Illinois has strong ties to India and wants to strengthen them. The university has existing partnerships with the College of Engineering in Pune and companies, such as Infosys Technologies, that do business in India.
According to Khanna, the office is expected to open by the start of the 2015-2016 year, and will start with one employee.
