Third suspect arrested in June murder

 CHAMPAIGN -- A third suspect is arrested in the June murder of Allen Redding.

Champaign police say Micah J. Hopkins, 30, of Champaign, was arrested with the help of U.S. Marshals in Belleville, Arkansas.

Allen Redding, 26, was found gunned down on Hedge Road in Champaign in late June. Hopkins is the third suspect arrested in the murder.
“Thanks to tips from the public and support from the law enforcement community, the Department is making progress is this case.  As we continue our investigation, we hope to build a solid case and provide closure to Redding’s family.  However, we still need the public’s help,” said Robert Rea, Champaign police investigations Lieutenant.

Champaign Police continue to follow up on leads and are working to get more information about this case.
