A pair of Illini tennis players lost today in the 2nd round of the Ursula Beck Pro Tennis Classic. Jared Hiltzik fell 6-1, 6-0 to three-seed Marcelo Arevalo. Big Ten Player of the Year Fares Ghasya lost in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) to defending champion Eric Quigley.
Arevalo will take on seven-seed Andrew Harris in the quarterfinals, while Quigley will face five-seed Luke Bambridge.
Seven of the top eight seeds are still alive in the tournament. The quarterfinals get underway Friday morning at 10 AM at Fairview Park Tennis Complex
