18 Illinois Air National Guardsmen returning home after 7 month deployment
PEORIA - Eighteen Illinois Air National Guard Security Forces members are expected to return home on Monday after a seven-month deployment to Southwest Asia.
The Illinois National Guard says those members were part of the 182nd Airlift Wing, and were responsible for security missions and law enforcement overseas.
According to Col. William P. Robertson, the Security Forces unit completed its mission in an outstanding manner. Security Forces leadership add that the unit built relationships with military forces and boosted security infrastructures in host-nations.
The Airmen are scheduled to arrive at 10 p.m. at Gen. Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport.
