2 arrested after midday crash in Charleston

CHARLESTON - Two individuals have been arrested following an accident in Charleston August 1.

The Charleston Police Department says officers responded to an accident report at Reynolds and West Polk at about 11:50 a.m.  During the officers' investigation of the accident, Leann Trueblood, 21, and Mikyel Patton, 28, were arrested.  Trueblood was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and failure to yield at an intersection.  Patton was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver over 30 grams.

Police say that Trueblood was released on $100 and her driver's license. amd Patton was placed in the custody of Coles County Safety and Detention Center.
