Gallery Night to feature art created by local children and teens

Posted:
CHARLESTON - The Coles County Art Council and Charleston TeenREACH are teaming up to host Gallery Night, an event that will showcase art created by local children and teens.

Gallery Night is free and open to the public, and will be held at the Illinois Coalition for Community Services building in Charleston on August 8 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The evening will feature the works of local children and teens who have spent the last seven weeks learning art-related skills including dance, pottery, drama, writing, painting, singing, crafts, and improv comedy.  Refreshments will be available, and Big Blue Mountain will perform live music.

The event will also serve as an open house to share insights into the goals and activities of the TeenREACH after school and summer program and the Coles County Arts Council.
