CHRISTIAN COUNTY - One person is dead and another injured after a one-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release from the Christian County Sheriff's Office, Christian County 911 received a call of a crash south of Assumption near Kemmerer Village at about 3:47 p.m. Brandon Kraus, 24, and his passenger, Alannah Wilderman, 23, were traveling westbound on Township Road 900 North when he lost control on his vehicle. The vehicle overturned, and both Kraus and Wilderman were ejected from the vehicle.
Kraus was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. Wilderman was transported to Pana Community Hospital, and later transported by helicopter to Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Information on her condition was not immediately available.
The crash is still under investigation by the Christian County Sheriff's Office.
