Stevenson family exhibit planned for Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum

SPRINGFIELD - Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum officials are planning to create an exhibit featuring former Governor Adlai Stevenson II and his family's political dynasty.

Teller Madsen, a design firm, has been hired to create the exhibit that could coincide with the 50th anniversary of the former governor's death.

Former U.S. Senator Adlai Stevenson III, Stevenson's son, has donated several objects, papers, and pieces of memorabilia for use in the exhibit.  Other items for the exhibit could also come from the Stevenson collections at the McLean County Museum of History and Illinois State University.

The exhibit is also likely to include information on former Vice President Adlai Stevenson I, who served as the nation's 23rd vice president in the 1890's.
