Interim principal hired for Decatur's MacArthur High School

DECATUR - The Decatur Public Schools Board of Education has hired an interim principal for MacArthur High School.

Lesa Andrick was hired during a regularly scheduled meeting on August 26.  She will begin her new role on August 27.

Andrick retired from Decatur Public Schools in 2011 after working in the district for 34 years.  She taught as a special education teacher for 14 years, and was a building administrator for 20 years.  Over 25 years of her employment at Decatur Public Schools were spent at Eisenhower High School.

Andrick will work as the interim principal until the position is filled.
