Centennial, Milford, Bismarck Shine Saturday


 Week one of the high school football season wrapped up Saturday. Champaign Centennial, Bismarck-Henning, and Milford Cissna Park were among the local victors.

 In a game suspended Friday night because of thunderstorms, Centennial defeated Morton 62-12.

 Milford-Cissna Park's high powered offense was on display in Moweaqua. The Bearcats beat Central A&M 56-13 in a rematch of a 2012 playoff game. The game was back and forth early on, with Milford taking a 14-13 lead in the 2nd quarter. The Bearcats ended the game on a 42-0 run.

 Bismarck Henning scored a big road win, taking down Carmi White County 34-12.

Week 2 kicks off Friday night.
