4 injured after early morning altercation in Decatur

DECATUR - Four men have been injured following an incident that occurred on Decatur's southwest side this past weekend.

According to Decatur Police, officers were dispatched to a home on the 1300 block of West Macon at about 3:02 a.m. on August 30.  Upon arriving, officers say they saw four individuals that had suffered stab wounds to various parts of their bodies.

Decatur Police officers spoke with people at the scene, and say they learned that a large party was being held at the home at the time of this incident.  Officers also say they learned that a large altercation occurred in front of the home, and among the group of people fighting were the four injured individuals and a man identified as Michael Lee, 18.

Decatur Police officers say one of the individuals they spoke with saw Lee punch one of the injured men.  Officers observed and photographed the injuries that were inflicted to that injured man, and then spoke to Lee.

After talking with Lee, Decatur Police officers arrested him.  Lee faces preliminary charges of aggravated battery and mob action.
