Jacksonville Police arrest teen suspected in baby abandonment

JACKSONVILLE - In an update to a story that WAND brought to you earlier this week, Jacksonville police have arrested a 17-year-old girl suspected of abandoning her newborn baby inside a trash bin this past weekend.

According to Jacksonville police, the teen, whose name is not being released due to being a minor, has been charged with child endangerment.

Authorities say that the newborn was found inside a trash bin on the morning of August 30.

Jacksonville police continue to investigate this incident.  We will bring you more details as they become available.
