Forsyth man pleads guilty for yelling obscenities on WAND News

 DECATUR -- A Forsyth man pleaded guilty Friday morning to disorderly conduct charges, for grabbing the microphone from WAND's Sean Streaty during the Decatur Celebration and yelling obscenities on live TV.

Zach Gilbert, 18, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. In exchange for his guilty plea, battery charges were dropped. A judge sentenced Gilbert to six months court supervision, 40 hours community service, $100 fine, and a written apology.

Sean Streaty was anchoring WAND's live newscast from the Decatur Celebration, Friday, August 1, when Gilbert ran up, grabbed the microphone, yelled obscenities into it, then ran away.
