GOODLETTSVILLE, Tennessee - The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded Decatur, Illinois' Stephen Decatur Middle School a $3500 youth literacy grant to support their High Interest Reading Titles in the RTI Instruction Program.

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation awards youth literacy grants at the start of the academic year, helping to provide teachers, schools, and organizations with the resources and funding needed to properly begin the school year.

This September, the foundation has awarded about $4 million in grants to approximately 825 schools, libraries, non-profit organizations, and community groups.  More than $97 million has been awarded by the foundation since its inception in 1993.
