DECATUR -- All State basketball standout Christian Williams has officially re-enrolled at St. Teresa High School, after transferring to Lanphier High School over the summer. According to St. Teresa Principal/CEO it's highly unlikely he'll play basketball for the Bulldogs this year.
"Christian has been accepted as a student today with the understanding that he is probably forgoing his senior year athletic eligibility," Hendriksen said in a statement today.
Williams, considered one of the top basketball prospects in the state, averaged over 18 points and 8 rebounds per game last season for St. Teresa.
"I have attended Decatur Catholic Schools with my friends since 4th grade. I want to attend St. Teresa High School whether or not I'm able to play basketball. My goal has always been to graduate from St. Teresa," Williams said in a statement today.
Williams has scholarship offers from several schools, including Bradley, Northern Illinois, and Illinois State.
