Springfield Fire Department investigating 2 cases of arson

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Fire Department and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public's assistance in solving two cases of arson that occurred last month.

According to fire officials, both cases occurred at 1605 and 1717 Loveland Avenue in Springfield at around 10:45 p.m. on August 26.  Both unoccupied structures had fires intentionally started towards the back of the properties, resulting in about $40,000 in damages.  No injuries were reported.
