CHAMPAIGN -- Illinois receiver Geronimo Allison will not play Saturday versus Texas State.
The news came as somewhat of a surprise, less than a week after Allison caught six passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns against Washington.
Allison left the game briefly after an apparent knee injury, but returned to make a fingertip catch in the back of the endzone.
Illinois did not disclose details of the injury, and will not be available to the media after the game on Saturday.
Allison is leading the Illinois receiving corps with 16 catches for 300 yards in three games this season.
In other injury news, DT Teko Powell is also listed as OUT.
Illinois kicks off against Texas State at 3pm Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
