More than 100 Men Gather in Decatur to Rally for Unity

More than one hundred men gathered in Decatur, Friday evening, to rally for peace, unity, and brotherhood.  Community leaders spoke to the crowd about hope and the need to end the violence among men in the city.  Leading the event was an organization called  "Brothers Overcoming the Struggle."

It was a call to action.  A call to the men of the community to stop waiting for change and, instead, stand up and be the change.

"Tonight it's about unity in the community, with a special call for men,” said Elder Rodriquez Wilson.  “To come back to the forefront, as the defenders, as the warriors, as the providers, as the guides of this village."

There was also a moment of silence and a special prayer for  those dealing with racial injustice around the country.
