Another Successful "Fall Family Day" at Millikin!

Saturday afternoon was almost like move in day part 2, except this time parents of Millikin freshman were on campus for Fall Family Day! Bailey Sanderson-Eads spent the first part of the day introducing her family to new friends, and showing them where her classes are.

"It's like a 3-hour drive, so it's really nice that they drive all the way down to see me," said Sanderson-Eads.”

Her mother, Ida, couldn't be more excited.

"We're going to go change some clothes, have a little dinner together as a family, maybe go see the soccer game," said Ida.

The last time Ida saw her daughter was a month ago, when school started.

"Occasionally, a tear or 2 has popped out, said Ida.  “We've missed here a little bit.  So, it's a great opportunity to come and spend time with her."

Freshman, Angelina James, invited her family as well.

"It's important because it gives people a chance to just connect with the university and see what we have to offer, but at the same time, you know, spend some time with our family so they can get a taste of what it's like for us to be down here as college students," said James.

Angelina's family came from Chicago.  She knows that, because of the distance, they won't be visiting too often.

"I'm always sad to see them go, but after a couple of minutes, I'll get over it."
