Voting Starts Thursday

Decatur – No excuses for not voting in 2014.  In fact, you can start voting on Thursday of this week with “no excuse absentee” voting.

“Just be a registered voter,” Macon County Clerk Steve Bean told WAND News.  “And if they're not then we will register them on the spot.”

Voting at a county clerk's office can be done right up to election day.  In Macon County, there will be opportunities to even vote on Saturday's and on a few select Sunday's.

This year voters will be able to register on the November 4th election day and vote by going to the county clerk's office.  “On election day you come in here, register to vote, and actually cast your ballot,” Bean stated.

The ballot is long this year and Bean suggest people vote well before election day.  “To beat the long lines we're asking people to start voting this Thursday,” he said.
