Neoga Community Improvement Society to raise money for veterans memorial

Posted:
NEOGA - The Neoga Community Improvement Society is raising money for a memorial at Jennings Park that would honor area veterans.

According to society organizer Diana Foor, the group has raised approximately $15,000 for the $60,000 project, which will feature the names of veterans inscribed on tablets along a meandering path.

Foor says that the group is working to collect the names of veterans from Neoga.  The group is planning several fundraising events, including a spaghetti supper scheduled for Friday.

Veterans are able to add their names at the project's website or by visiting Neoga City Hall.  Donations for the project are also being collected at the city hall.
