Macon County Health Department to hold diabetes management classes

DECATUR - The Macon County Health Department is offering people living with diabetes a chance to take part in their Diabetes Self-Management Program.

Individuals who participate in the program will learn practical ways to deal with fatigue and pain, understand new treatment choices, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, and learn ways to discuss their diabetes with their family and doctor.

Classes will be held at 1221 E. Condit Street on Fridays for the next six weeks from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  All classes will be free and open to everyone affected by diabetes, including family members and caregivers.
