Bement woman charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse
BEMENT - In an update to a story WAND brought you earlier this month, a former central Illinois school bus driver and assistant high school cheerleading sponsor has been charged by authorities for the alleged sexual abuse of a teenage boy.
On Monday, a Piatt County state's attorney said that Tazmin Wegrich, 43, has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse. If convicted, Wegrich could serve up to seven years in prison.
Wegrich was a bus driver and assistant cheerleading sponsor at Bement High School. She resigned from her cheerleading sponsor position last week.
