More People Voting Early in Macon County

 DECATUR-Across the nation, nearly a million Americans have cast their votes.
    In Illinois, mail-in voting and no excuse absentee voting are already in session.  Anyone eligible to vote can vote in these categories.
    Early voting,  which is essentially the same as no excuse absentee voting, starts on Monday.
    The county has expanded early and mail-in voting this year. There are even weekend hours.  
    So far, roughly 600 people have voted.

    The Macon County Office Building. 141 S. Main St., # 119, Decatur has extended its hours of operation for the " EARLY VOTE"
Oct. 14 - 17, M - F, 8:30a - 4:30p
Oct. 18 , Sat., 9a - 12p
Oct. 20 - 24, M - F, 8:30a - 4:30p
Oct. 25, Sat., 9a - 4p
Oct. 26, Sun., 9a - 4:p
Oct. 27 - 31, M - F, 8:30a - 7p
Nov. 1, Sat., M - F, 9a - 4p
Nov. 2, Sun., 9a - 4p
Nov. 3, Mon., 8:30a - 5P
Nov. 4, ELECTION DAY - Please go to your assigned voting polls that's listed on the back of your voters registration card.
Election Day Grace Period Registration/ Voting Only In Clerk's Office 6a - 7p. (If you are not registered by election day you are "only" allowed to register and vote at the same time.)
