PEORIA - A Peoria man who faces multiple charges in the October 27 shooting of two people has been ordered held on $1 million bond.

Authorities say Courtney Blakes, 20, faces two counts of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.  A grand jury is expected to review the case.

According to police, Blakes allegedly shot Blade Bellow, 21, and Julie Hill, 19, in the face on Monday.  Police say both victims were shot inside a building when someone outside the building fired into a window with a shotgun.

Police say Bellow and Hill were in stable but serious condition on Monday.  Both victims' conditions were not available Wednesday night.

If convicted, Blakes could face up to 30 years in prison on each of the aggravated battery counts.
